Tall Tree Theatre visit

Pupils at Durrington Infant School, part of Salisbury Plain Academies, experienced the theatre recently without even leaving their classroom.

They had a visit from the Tall Tree Theatre Company who performed the story of Shackleton; a dog who discovers adventure. Shackletonis a family show about saying yes to adventure, inspired by a chance encounter with an adventurous dog in Wiltshire.

The professional actors were invited in to school to give the pupils a theatre experience as well as showing them the art of storytelling.

“The children were engaged and actively enjoying every second. It was a real pleasure to have such a great production visit the school,” said class teacher, Debbie Budd.

Year 2 pupil, Ethan Williams, enjoyed the show. “I loved watching the story of Shackleton. I enjoyed learning about his adventures and him meeting the cat.”
