Breakfast Club Leader

Location:                      Durrington Infant School

Hours of work:             5.25 hours per week (7.30am – 8.30am Mon – Fri + 15 mins term time only)

Contract type:             Permanent

Start date:                   As soon as possible

Durrington All Saints C of E Infant School is seeking to appoint a Breakfast Club Leader to join our outstanding team as we develop our wrap around care provision. We are looking for an enthusiastic and fun individual who will be required to lead a small team to:

• provide a caring, secure environment for children attending the Breakfast Club;

• prepare and serve breakfast

• ensure we offer a stimulating and creative setting;

• ensure that activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner;

• consult with the children in order to plan activities they are interested in and that include everyone.

Candidates should have effective communication skills and a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in child care and education and preferably a basic food hygiene certificate or a willingness to be working towards these qualifications.  Paediatric first aid training would be an advantage.
