Year 1 Cricket festival

This week a group of Year 1 children had the opportunity to attend a cricket festival. We travelled on the mini bus to Five River Leisure centre where we met Ali from Wiltshire County Cricket. He showed us how to bowl and receive a ball correctly. We learnt how to use our bowling arm to try and hit the stumps. Our favourite part was practising using the cricket bat! All the children had a great time and there are some promising cricketers in the making.
